This is where the amazing Bodmin community can once again be involved in the event and make it something even more special as we did for the Tour of Britain stage finish in 2021 and the Beacon Beast in previous years.
We have an opportunity for many volunteers, aged 18 or over (unless accompanied by an Adult), all around the route, including Lanhydrock, Lanivet, Nanstallon, Cardinham and many areas around Bodmin itself, including The Beacon, to support and encourage the runners during their tough challenge to get round the route while pointing them in the right direction. By wearing hi-viz on pavements/paths near any road areas this will naturally slow traffic down and make drivers aware that they need to be extra cautious.
To help make the event a success for our community for many years to come a large number of volunteers will be needed, especially as we now have Beastie McBeastRace (the Beastly Half !) to support. Please let all your friends, family and contacts know about this event for Bodmin and surrounding areas in the hope that the runners will experience the amazing spectator support that we managed for the riders in the Tour of Britain and prevoius Beacon Beast events. To express your interest or find out more please email - beaconbeast@outlook.com.

It's easy to volunteer just express your interest through the email address in the 'Contact' section of this web site. If you have any questions please feel free to ask using the same email address.
Our Volunteer Coordinators will be in touch with volunteers to confirm details.
If the residents of Bodmin, Lanhydrock, Lanivet, Nanstallon and Cardinham either choose to enter the event, volunteer or spectate it will ensure we have created an annual event which runners from across the UK and hopefully further afield will love to participate in and something we can all be proud of while enjoying working together to benefit our community.
These are timings from 2023 and no changes are anticipated for 2026. (Timings for Beastie McBeastRace will be available at a later date).
